I believe so, I think HDMI 2.1 can do 1440p 144hz but this monitor doesn’t have HDMI 2.1 iirc. Do you need a displayport cable to take advantage of 1440p and 144hz at the same time for this monitor? It's hard to make an informed decision when one of the optiosn is an unkown... but this monitor is a very poor implementation that had a very high amount of issues, including intermittent screen flashing.
