WOW, does this place need a rehab. Boma, the hotel’s buffet restaurant, is open for breakfast and dinner. (5/5) The common areas are beautiful and well cared for. Our family had 2 rooms, my husband, 3 child’s and 2 parents. We had lunch with an animal specialist. (4/10) Most of the time bus service was ok and timely when departing the resort. Recommended By 67%. (5/5) We needed additional towels and they were delivered immediately. LOL. (6/10) Having stayed in 5* accommodation on frequent occasions I would have expected it to have been more luxurious. Choosing this resort means you are isolating yourself from much of Disney World, since no park is within walking distance. The waits and lines were a very long time, but of course the kids didn’t mind! (5/5) Love the food at this resort.

My biggest regret from this trip was that we didn’t have more downtime at the resort to try out all of the available tours, talks and other options. There were two separate villages at Animal Kingdom Lodge: the original Jambo House and the Kidani Village that was added later and made up of DVC villas. It’s not “The Lion King” and “Hakuna Matata” at every turn — you’ll actually find those rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation.
