Out of the box, the color accuracy on our unit was squarely in professional territory with deviations below what's detectable by the human eye. The 950 really comes down to what you want to use it for, a number of games look amazing on it, it's the ultimate monitor if you have it paired with another monitor to offset its weaknesses, though I'm having a difficult time seeing it worth it over my 32UD99.

I saw a Polish (IIRC) review on here recently and he measured more than 750nits for the 27GN950, many with the G7 32 have had much less than 500nits, that's a fairly sizable difference. almost like black crush, hard to explain though at times it's there. As long as you have LG's Calibration Studio Software installed, which should be available soon for free from their website. But can it compete with Samsung's 240 Hertz, G7?

I'm not miffed that this monitor doesn't have full array, local dimming with hundreds of zones because I'm generally not even into fog really, but this monitor doesn't not have local dimming either. Similarly, the backlight is a bit weird. Companies should just be more direct. Get information on the LG 27GN950-B. It covered over 97% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and a respectable 74% of REC 2020. That's already a thing, but it's super expensive. Its picture is beautifully vivid and crisp, and entirely ghost free and responsive. As noted by other reviewers, the monitor's advertised hardware calibration is currently broken.

The LG UltraGear 27GN950-B is an amazing gaming monitor.

No HDR600 is real HDR.

- Sometimes games see this monitor as 2560x1440, a number of games actually, which can be a pain at times.

- Minimal changes possible when in HDR mode, somewhat disappointing, you can change the basics, though, not much. Home of the computer component that you see most, your Monitor. I mainly play RPGs and FPS.

The G7 is $50 cheaper, five inches bigger and runs at 240 Hertz instead of 144.

LG 27GN950 4K HDR600 Monitor - Impressions and Pending Review. This is definitely something I'm going to watch for again, had a Dell that did this many years ago and it was an absolute pain in the ass. - Adaptive Sync works great, very smooth and not a single issue so far after playing a number of games, you can leave it enabled and it doesn't carry over to your HDMI etc., which is a plus. The Samsungs are no different with that low zone count, although better than the LG. But good to know the tech is coming along nicely.

I have Adaptive Sync enabled on DP and just played my PS4 Pro in 4K HDR on the HDMI, no issues.
