This effect does not stack with similar effects that modify a weapon’s critical threat range. The gunslinger must spend 1 grit point to perform this deed. Dead Shot (Ex): At 7th level, as a full-round action, the gunslinger can take careful aim and pool all of her attack potential into a single, deadly shot. When she does this, she shoots the firearm at a single target, but makes as many attack rolls as she can, based on her base attack bonus. The gunslingerâs class skills are Acrobatics (Dex), Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Handle Animal (Cha), Heal (Wis), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (engineering) (Int), Knowledge (local) (Int), Perception (Wis), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), Sleight of Hand (Dex), Survival (Wis), and Swim (Str). | Here Be Monsters Role: Gunslingers are thunderous artillery, often found where the fighting is fiercest. On a hit, the lock is destroyed, and the object can be opened as if it were unlocked. The following method for regaining grit points requires a measure of GM judgment, so it is an optional rule. Menacing Shot (Ex): At 15th level, the gunslinger can spend 1 grit point, shoot a firearm into the air, and affect all living creatures within a 30-foot-radius burst as if they were subject to the fear spell. In addition, each character begins play with an outfit worth 10 gp or less, and the gunslinger begins with her starting firearm. You can restore grit with critical hits (very difficult) or with killing blows (much less difficult), but you still want to use Grit sparingly. – The following class archetypes are available to members of the listed race. Each time a gunslinger performs a daring act, she can regain grit.
The creature must make a Fortitude saving throw (the DC = 10 + 1/2 the gunslingerâs level + the gunslingerâs Wisdom modifier).

The gunslinger must spend 1 grit point to perform this deed. • Torso: Targeting the torso threatens a critical on a 19–20. Starting Wealth: 5d6 x 10 gp (average 175gp) In addition, each character begins play with an outfit worth 10 gp or less, and the gunslinger begins with her starting firearm. She gains a bonus equal to her Dexterity modifier on damage rolls when firing that type of firearm. The GM is the final arbiter of what's considered a daring act, and can grant a regained grit point for a daring act even if the player does not ask beforehand whether the act qualifies. She makes the attack rolls in order from highest bonus to lowest, as if she were making a full attack. If the number of grit points to perform a deed is reduced to 0, the gunslinger can perform this deed as long as she has at least 1 grit point.
All creatures in a 15-foot cone, starting at the corner of the gunslingerâs square closest to the target and extending directly toward the target, must succeed at a Fortitude save (DC = 10 + half the gunslingerâs class level + the gunslingerâs Wisdom modifier) or be deafened for 1 minute. You cannot reduce the misfire chance of a firearm below 1. Creatures that are immune to sneak attacks are immune to these effects. Cheat Death (Ex): At 19th level, whenever the gunslinger is reduced to 0 or fewer hit points, she can spend all of her remaining grit points (minimum 1) to instead be reduced to 1 hit point. This deed replaces the dead shot deed and one other 7th-level deed. First, she gains a +2 bonus on initiative checks. For each additional successful attack roll beyond the first, the gunslinger increases the damage of the shot by the base damage dice of the firearm. Gunsmith: At 1st level, a gunslinger gains one of the following firearms of her choice: blunderbuss, musket, or pistol. Before attempting a daring act, the player should ask the GM whether the act qualifies. Archetypes are a quick and easy way to specialize characters of a given class, adding fun and flavorful new abilities to already established adventurers. The gunslinger only misfires on a dead shot if all the attack rolls are misfires. Dares are similar to deeds in that they grant a gunslinger or a swashbuckler extra abilities based on either grit or panache, but unlike deeds, dares become active when a member of these classes runs out of her respective pool, and become inactive until the character regains points of their respective pool. It should take a good deal of guts, and its outcome should have a low probability of success. Stunning Shot (Ex): At 19th level, when a gunslinger hits a creature, she can spend 2 grit points to stun the creature for 1 round. Furthermore, when she misfires with that type of firearm, the misfire value of that firearm increases by 2 instead of 4. This movement is not a 5-foot step, and provokes attacks of opportunity. Bleeding Wound (Ex): At 11th level, when the gunslinger hits a living creature with a firearm attack, she can spend 1 grit point as a free action to have that attack deal extra bleed damage.
Whatever the reason, all gunslingers have grit. Nimble (Ex): A nice dodge bonus to AC will help make up for limiting the Gunslinger to medium armor, and is particularly useful against other firearms. For example, the elemental fist class feature of the monk of the four winds replaces the stunning fist class feature of the monk. Some deeds stay in effect as long as the gunslinger has at least 1 grit point. Sell at the Open Gaming Store! Stunning Shot (Ex): At 19th level, when a gunslinger hits a creature, she can spend 2 grit points to stun the creature for 1 round. While this dare is active, your speed increases by 10 feet, and you retain your Dexterity bonus to your AC while running.
At 20th level, a gunslinger picks two deeds that she has access to and that she must spend grit to perform. The following options are available to the listed race who have gunslinger as their favored class, and unless otherwise stated, the bonus applies each time you select the listed favored class reward. She cannot perform this deed with a blunderbuss or other scatter weapon when attacking creatures in a cone. They grant the character a benefit and a new ability to regain or increase the ability to regain either grit or panache.
