It’s in the dark, so if you are wondering how your little ones might hold up in dark rides (say, before the Haunted Mansion) this ride might be a good way to tell if they are up for this style of amusement park ride.
Many of these will be “same-day” FastPass+ reservations—that is, rides that we plan to grab a FastPass+ for once we’ve used our initial three for the day. Without FastPass+, don’t delay Splash Mountain too long, as the afternoon heat will draw lots of guests to it. Jungle Cruise is a must-ride. Jungle Cruise is an outdoor boat ride through jungle scenes from around the world, complete with a skipper with a clever sense of humor. Some get longer descriptions. My favorite park is Magic Kingdom, and I try to visit every time that I am in Florida. We usually just do a same-day FastPass+ for it. It’s not scary, though depening on your childs’ age you may want to hold off. Kids may not find it as great as the other shows, but adults my enjoy the detail that has gone into this specatacle. Mad Tea Party, a.k.a. This is a spinning ride that is similar to Dumbo. Guests accompany Br’er Rabbit on his journey to find his “laughing place”. Another one of the most iconic Magic Kingdom rides, the Mad Tea Party, will have you spinning around in colored teacups. This ride overlay isn’t just during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party—you can experience it all holiday-season long.
Nowadays, we recommend slipping Jungle Cruise in right at the end of Magic Kingdom rope drop. The platform itself rotates and guests can control (mostly) the rotation of their individual teacups. The ride is actually quite compact, something that you'll quickly notice if you’re not distracted by the general thrill of the ride. These tips are all written with average crowds in mind—worse crowds mean longer waits and less FastPass+ availability.
Enchanted Tales with Belle is a different sort of character interaction. I consider Haunted Mansion to be one of the best Disney rides in the world. The ride features an indoor high-speed outer space-themed roller coaster. Mind its oft-limited hours, but otherwise just plan to walk in to beat the heat or when you need to pass some time. The Disneyland version is better, but there’s no denying that Space Mountain is a staple of every Magic Kingdom experience. Mickey’s PhilharMagic is a 3D show with songs from Disney classics set to a story of a magical orchestra gone awry. This is a great "starter" coaster for kids. The kids loved this ride and it’s got the novelty of the movies behind it now. It opened October 1, 1971 on the same day the park did. Watching It: The show starts every five minutes and almost never has a wait beyond that.
Either way, it’s likely to be one of the shorter waits you encounter midday, so plan on it then.
Space Mountain.

Ariel’s Grotto is a great place to meet and greet Ariel, it’s up to you if you want to spend your time in the park doing this or use it elsewhere. It's really only worth a ride if the other two similar rides, Dumbo and Astro Orbiter, have longer waits.
