If one or more works are by a distinct, homonymous authors, go ahead and split the author. I’d weed it because it is old and no longer circulating, not because I disagree with its contents. In fact, any public library building a truly viewpoint-balanced collection in the 90s, no matter what demographics they served, might have had this. It’s about recognizing that libraries are supposed to have materials catering to a diversity of opinion and viewpoints. Holly is right that this book would have been important in having a balanced collection in the 1990’s, just as today’s libraries should carry modern authors whom we might find distasteful.
